To Be Or Not...

Mulling over this whole blog thing, I started to wonder if I weren't wasting away precious time. Maybe I should be dusting, or mopping, or maybe scrubbing the bathtub. Like many I'm sure, I'm always questioning the importance of things, sometimes to a fault. So is it a waste of time to read a book, watch a documentary on the PauPau tribe and their many body piercings, paint stripes in my dining room rather than just throw a coat of paint on the wall, etc, etc, etc....? Is my time being spent well learning the ins and outs of blogs and tip-tapping on my keyboard another post for my accidental blog journal? Ponder, ponder, ponder.... BLAM-OOOOH, an answer, or maybe a rationalization, I dunno sometimes.

What makes me happy --- fullfilled, or at the very least, sustained for the moment? It's all about priorities, huh? If I'm having a house guest and they'll be showering in my bath with the big dirt ring around the tub, this will cause me to feel much less than the perfect host. See diagram below:

<-10--------------------- 0 -------------------10>

Where on the number line do you fall if a guest takes a shower in your dirty tub? I'm at about a -2. Generally I like to fall somewhere around +2, but at the very least at the neutral point of 0.

Anyway, my conclusion: I better clean the tub before I write in my blog. I've wanted to journal for a long time, but never seem to get around to it. I love playing on the computer and thus, a web log is the perfect fit. I will write when the mood strikes and I will get enjoyment from that. So I'm excited to have come to the conclusion that my blog is not a big waste of time.
